1st & 2nd July 2025
THE REGINALD FESSENDEN CHALLENGE IS A WONDERFUL TEAM BUILDING OCCASION WHICH PRESENTS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK WITH INDUSTRY PEERS AND PROMOTE YOUR BRAND AMONGST A RELEVANT AUDIENCE.
A community of industry professionals coming together in an informal setting: to build a network of contacts with a common interest in the submarine endeavour; to provide a fantastic team building opportunity; and, to support The NOT FORGOTTEN, which is a long established and very worthwhile Service Charity which provides entertainment, leisure and recreation for the serving wounded, injured or sick, in a very visible and practical way.
The Reginald Fessenden Challenge 2025 Agenda:
DAY 1: Networking reception and dinner the previous evening in the Royal Southern Yacht Club in Hamble village. An auction of promises is held to raise funds for The Submarine Fund (SMF) & The NOT FORGOTTEN.
DAY 2: The Reginald Fessenden Challenge 2025
THE NOT FORGOTTEN is a national Tri-Service charity which provides entertainment, leisure and recreation for the serving wounded, injured or sick and for ex-service men and women with disabilities.
Formed in 1920, the association offers activities which many of us often take for granted. However, for the thousands of injured and wounded serving and ex- service men and women, many of whom are lonely and vulnerable, their support can bring genuine happiness, a much needed boost and something to which they can look forward.
3 double cabins and 2 single berths afloat in Port Hamble provided. Shower and toilet facilities are available in the marina complex.
Local B&B or hotels in Southampton can be arranged, but are not included in the price of the event.
After a comprehensive safety briefing and risk assessment yachts will proceed down river and out into Southampton Water for familiarisation and crew training prior to the start of the first race.
Up to seven people, under the guidance of a professional skipper, sailing one of a matched fleet of up to 16 MCA coded Beneteau Oceanis 37 yachts.
Sailing in the Solent, the UK's premier sailing area, the event raises awareness of, and money for, a splendid charity.
